Iceland
November 2–8, 2026 · Southern Iceland

Explore Iceland through its waters.

A week-long experience that stays with you for a lifetime.

Steaming under an open sky. Gathering around the table. Exploring Iceland through water, warmth, and connection. A private lakefront home, an intentionally small group, six nights, seven days of moving through Iceland’s bathing culture, and returning home with a different relationship to your own life.

Coming on your own? Most of our guests do. It’s a small, all-are-welcome group — you’ll arrive as strangers and leave as a pack.

The week, in the water

Seven days of bathing across Iceland.

From the edge of Reykjavík to a wood-fired sauna on our own private lake. The clips here are ours — shot on the expedition itself, real people in real water, no polish.

Before you wonder

Questions people ask first.

Can I come on my own?

Perfect. We love solo travelers and believe it’s the best way to meet people and make new friends. Every single guest (and host) is nervous about showing up and being loved and accepted for who they are. You are not alone in this, and you’ll be in the best company. We have perfected the art of creating friends out of strangers.

What if I don’t want to do one of the activities?

We specialize in a guilt-free culture. Our choose-your-own-adventure system requires nothing from you and encourages you to opt out of any offering that doesn’t serve you in the present moment. Whether you participate in everything or nothing, we’re here for you.

What about food allergies or dietary restrictions?

Our private chef can handle any food allergy or dietary restriction you throw her way, and will seamlessly accommodate the pickiest of eaters. She finds pleasure in curating a menu authentic to the area and welcomes any challenge. We’re yet to find someone who hasn’t fallen deeply in love with her made-from-scratch meals.

What if I have an injury or disability?

We’re committed to making each guest feel comfortable and safe. There’s a section on the registration form to share any injuries or concerns. If you prefer to discuss in detail, schedule a quick call with Alisa and we’ll create a plan for your individual needs.

Can I drink alcohol on the trip?

Most wellness experiences have a reputation for being alcohol-free, but we never impose strict guidelines. Wellness looks different for everyone. We always allow guests to bring their own, and sometimes we have complimentary drinks. Whatever your preference, it’s never an issue.

Why we do it this way

Hot. Cold. Rest. Repeat.

Most “Iceland trips” are a checklist with a hot-spring stop. This isn’t that.

For seven days, bathing isn’t the reward at the end of the day — it’s the whole point. The warmth softens you. The cold wakes you up. The quiet in between unwinds you. No rushing, no itinerary to keep pace with — just heat, cold water, rest, and long meals shared from one lakeside home in southern Iceland.

Something shifts when your days are shaped by water and unhurried time instead of the clock. You come home with more than photos: proof that you don’t have to live in a constant state of urgency — and a rhythm you can return to long after the trip ends.

Why November

A dark-sky week, on purpose.

Our week lands in the dark half of the lunar cycle: a waning crescent thinning to a new moon the day we fly home. That means almost no moonlight to wash out the sky, right in the heart of northern-lights season.

We can’t promise the sky will perform, but the timing is about as good as it gets.

Moon phases over the expedition: a waning crescent thinning from Monday November 2 through Saturday November 7, heading toward the new moon
The week, day by day

Seven days, six nights. Here’s the rhythm.

01Mon · Nov 2

Arrival

Land at Keflavík and ease in at Sky Lagoon, an oceanfront soak with a 70-meter infinity edge that looks like it pours into the Atlantic. Settle into the lake house; welcome dinner.

02Tue · Nov 3

Following the water

The Secret Lagoon, the oldest pool in Iceland, from 1891, with a little geyser erupting beside you, then wild hot springs out in the countryside.

03Wed · Nov 4

Icelandic sauna culture

Free time in Reykjavík, then Saekot, the seaside sauna at the heart of Iceland’s sauna revival, and home of the modern Gúsa ritual, before dinner out in the city.

04Thu · Nov 5

A slow day at home base

A wood-fired sauna pulled right to our own lakeshore; a cooking class with Chef Abbey; an evening sound bath.

05Fri · Nov 6

Into the wild

A super jeep fords glacial rivers into Þórsmörk, a hidden valley under snow-dusted peaks, then a soak at Seljavallalaug, a 1923 pool tucked into a mountain valley.

06Sat · Nov 7

Greenhouse + the newest lagoon

Lunch among the vines at the Friðheimar tomato greenhouse, then Laugarás Lagoon, one of Iceland’s newest baths, on the golden circle route; final dinner.

07Sun · Nov 8

Departure

Breakfast, goodbyes, airport transfer.

An honest filter

Who this is, and isn’t, for.

This is for you if…

  • You’re curious about Iceland’s bathing culture

  • You’d rather immerse in a place than just see it
  • Heat, cold water, fresh air, and nature sound like your kind of day
  • You value meaning over a packed itinerary
  • You’re open to slowing down and connecting — with yourself and others

Probably not if…

  • You want to see as much of Iceland as possible in one trip
  • You prefer every hour planned and fast-paced
  • Sauna, hot springs, and cold water don’t appeal
  • You’d rather observe a culture than join in
  • You’re looking for a luxury resort vacation
  • You’re uncomfortable with quiet or downtime

Good to know

Frequently asked questions.

Is a payment plan offered?

Yes. We offer a payment plan that splits the remaining balance, less the deposit, across the remaining months before departure. It’s designed to make the experience more accessible while keeping things simple and transparent.

What is not included?

We’ve done most of the hard work for you, but a few things are not included: airfare to and from Keflavík Airport (KEF); passport/visa and travel documentation; and transportation from Keflavík to Sky Lagoon on the day of arrival.

What if I don’t want to participate in one of the activities or excursions?

We specialize in a guilt-free culture. Our choose-your-own-adventure system requires nothing from you and encourages you to opt out of any offering that doesn’t serve you in the present moment. Whether you participate in everything or nothing, we’re here for you.

What if I have food allergies or dietary restrictions?

Our private chef can handle any food allergy or dietary restriction you throw her way, and will seamlessly accommodate the pickiest of eaters. She finds pleasure in curating a menu authentic to the area and welcomes any challenge. We’re yet to find someone who hasn’t fallen deeply in love with her made-from-scratch meals.

What if I don’t have anyone to travel with me?

Perfect. We love solo travelers and believe it’s the best way to meet people and make new friends. Every single guest (and host) is nervous about showing up and being loved and accepted for who they are. You are not alone in this, and you’ll be in the best company. We have perfected the art of creating friends out of strangers.

What if I have an injury or disability?

We’re committed to making each guest feel comfortable and safe. There’s a section on the registration form to share any injuries or concerns. If you prefer to discuss in detail, schedule a quick call with Alisa and we’ll create a plan for your individual needs.

What should I bring?

You can preview the full packing list here, and a final version will be provided once registration is complete. But permission granted to buy a new swimsuit if you’ve been looking for an excuse.

How many guests will there be?

We keep the group intentionally small, with several hosts alongside you the whole way.

Is there Wi-Fi and/or cell phone service?

Yes, but it may be limited. Depending on your cell service, there may be areas of the lodging or excursions with limited service. Wi-Fi is available in the common areas and in each room.

What is the cancellation policy?

We want to be transparent from the start. All payments are non-refundable and non-transferable. Because of this, we strongly encourage comprehensive travel insurance, including cancel-for-any-reason coverage, for peace of mind. While we’re not responsible for losses related to cancellation, we’ll help provide documentation to support an insurance claim if needed.

What terms & conditions should I be aware of?

A few important things before reserving: all participants must be 18 years or older; you are responsible for obtaining travel insurance; if traveling internationally, your passport must be valid for at least six months beyond the trip end date; and a liability waiver is required and must be signed prior to participation.
